Practical support in our community

We help a family raising children with cerebral palsy through financial and material assistance for rehabilitation and specialist equipment. We also supported the parents of a child following a liver transplant with treatment and recovery costs.

Help for a seriously ill young person includes access to therapies and medicines that are not reimbursed. We co-funded a summer camp for a girl with a disability so that she could spend time with her peers. These activities address both medical needs and opportunities for shared experiences.

We regularly support a children's home in response to the current needs of the institution and its residents in everyday life and education. At local primary schools, our help covers events, equipment and educational initiatives.

In sport, we assist young MMA athletes with their development and preparation for competitions. Local football clubs receive support for equipment, kits and infrastructure. These activities range from the needs of a care setting and school activities to training conditions and participation in sport within the local community.

Following fires, we provided affected families with funds for urgent needs and rebuilding. Our support for the local volunteer fire brigade contributes to equipment improvements and maintaining readiness to respond.

We have also helped a person needing a second chance return to work and society through employment. These examples concern different situations within our community: sudden loss, the needs of an organisation serving residents and a return to working life. Each forms part of our involvement in the community around us.
